About Us

7The Cape Carancahua Water Supply Corporation supplies abundant, “approved” water to hundreds of property owners in the Cape Carancahua Subdivision in Jackson County, Texas.  This idyllic community is located off Highway 35 about halfway between Houston and Corpus Christi Texas, on the Gulf Coast.  Surrounded on three sides by Carancahua Bay, the community has approximately 350 homes for full-time residents and vacationers.

The water provided by CCWSC to these homeowners is categorized as “excellent” in taste.  The Corporation was chartered in 1988.  Two part-time employees manage the office and two full-time employees (one being a certified water plant operator) and one part-time employee handle the maintenance of the system itself.  A 106,000 gallon storage tank holds water pumped from two wells for distribution from three pressurized tanks.  On-going efforts constantly upgrade and maintain the system to meet all standards set by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
